Long Beach’s Chowder House.

Captain Bob’s Chowder Sisters is a cozy chowder house in downtown Long Beach, WA, on Washington’s Evergreen Coast, a short walk from the beach. The current owners bought the shop from “the captain himself” and brought in family to cook. They call themselves a couple of grandmas who love to cook, and they make every chowder fresh daily.

More Than 15 Kinds of Chowder.

Start with the gluten-free clam chowder, then branch out to smoked salmon, halibut, scallop mushroom, creamy garlic prawn and other rotating specialty chowders. Try a chowder-filled twice-baked Potato Bowl, Angels on Horseback (bacon-wrapped oysters), clam cake bites, a crab melt or fish and chips. Need a big batch? Specialty chowders can be special-ordered with a week’s notice.
