– In June 2025, Washington’s Evergreen Coast once again found itself in the national spotlight with a rich mix of media coverage that highlighted the region’s scenic landscapes, coastal heritage, and outdoor offerings. Outlets from Yahoo Life and Sherman’s Travel to Seattle Met and The Seattle Times praised the Evergreen Coast as a must-visit destination for nature lovers, festivalgoers, and road-trippers alike.
Sherman’s Travel included the Evergreen Coast in its national roundup of “13 Top Camping Destinations in North America to Immerse Yourself in Nature”, noting the diversity of landscapes, campgrounds, and outdoor activities from the Columbia River to Cape Disappointment. This prestigious feature solidified the region’s reputation as a leading outdoor travel destination.
Yahoo Life featured the region in its widely syndicated piece on “Skip the Crowds: U.S. Road Trips That Deliver Big Scenery Without the Traffic”, while WorldAtlas named the coast in its list of “2025’s Most Underrated Towns in the Pacific Coast”, drawing attention to the authentic character of towns like Raymond, Tokeland, and Long Beach.
One Seattle Times story encouraged travelers to “Plan Summer Hikes Around Historic Washington Lighthouses”, many of which are found along the Evergreen Coast. These iconic structures continue to draw visitors eager to explore the region’s maritime history.
Islands magazine published dual features celebrating the coast’s unique charm and iconic summer events. One highlighted the “Serenity and Seafood of Evergreen Coast Towns”, and the other profiled the “Long-Running Pacific Coast Kite Festival”, held annually in Long Beach.
Business Wire recognized regional camping destinations with a piece announcing “Hipcamp’s Top 50 Places to Camp in America”, and the Kitsap Sun named several coastal campgrounds among the “Top 50 Best in the U.S.”, reaffirming the area’s reputation among outdoor travelers.
Regional stories also spotlighted cultural and environmental stories: The Daily World profiled “Comfort and Crawfish at the Tokeland Hotel”, while Global Heroes encouraged readers to “Get Carried Away in Raymond”. Northwest Prime Time featured a volunteer-led beach cleanup initiative, showcasing local stewardship.
Rounding out the month, Seattle Met released a regional travel guide to Washington State’s Long Beach Peninsula. As national travel writers, editors, and outdoor experts continue to recognize the charm and experiences offered by the Evergreen Coast, the region remains a front-runner in Washington tourism.
