More Information:
Founded in 2017 on the site of the former world-famous Clarke Rhododendron Nursery, Willapa Bay Heritage Farm (WBHF) is an educational farm nurturing sustainability, animal welfare, & organic farming practices. Located at 15720 Sandridge Road about midway on the bay side of the Long Beach Peninsula, the farm has a storied agricultural past, beginning with aquaculture production and corn growing by the Chinook nation, later becoming a territorial then a state homestead, then the nursery, and now a goat dairy and produce farm.
Our indoor farm store is open 10 am to 6 pm seven days a week, 365 days a year, rain or shine. Mini tours (“petting zoo”) and farm tours are available by appointment only. Featured as a top tourist destination in Google, Yelp and Trip Advisor, we offer volunteer opportunities for our local community and for participants in the World Wide Organization for Organic Farms (WWoOF). For your kids and grandkids, ask us about our “Jr. Farmhands” program, where kids can learn “hands-on” and earn a certificate for their efforts.
With the recent approval of our new classroom, we are developing classes for 4H, Future Farmers of America students, and adult learners, and we look forward to your input what you would like to learn! In the near future, we aspire to be a “farm-to-table” venue for non-profit fundraisers.
With our goal to grant the farm to the community in perpetuity for ongoing education, we THANK YOU for your support. Come visit us soon, it’s a lot of fun for the entire family.
