WASHINGTON’S EVERGREEN COAST– October 2025 brought a wave of national and regional media features highlighting Washington’s Evergreen Coast. From eerie hikes and haunted legends to cranberry harvest celebrations and small‑town coastal escapes, the region once again proved itself a top fall destination for travelers, families, and outdoor enthusiasts.
The month opened with national spooky‑season buzz as Terradrift featured Ilwaco’s North Head Lighthouse Loop among its “10 Haunted Hikes to Celebrate the Spooky Season.” The story showcased Cape Disappointment’s fog‑shrouded cliffs, maritime myths, and atmospheric autumn scenery.
The Evergreen Coast continued to shine across WorldAtlas included the region in several major roundups, including “11 Ideal Pacific Coast Destinations for a 3-Day Weekend”, “8 Best Pacific Northwest Towns for a Weekend Trip”, and “8 Nicest Small Towns in the Pacific Northwest”., which included the region in several major roundups: “11 Ideal Pacific Coast Destinations for a 3‑Day Weekend,” “8 Best Pacific Northwest Towns for a Weekend Trip,” and “8 Nicest Small Towns in the Pacific Northwest.” These features praised the area’s coastal charm, walkable communities, and blend of nostalgia, nature, and seafood.
Coastal character was further celebrated in Islands spotlighted coastal communities in “Washington’s Lovely City Best Known As The World’s ‘Oyster Capital'” and “On the Pacific Northwest Coast Is Washington’s Community With a Walkable Downtown and Quiet Beaches”., which spotlighted Oysterville and Long Beach for their historic streets, quiet beaches, and vibrant local culture.
