Small Lidded Jars Clay Play
In this hands-on workshop, students will create a medium-sized jar with a carefully fitted lid using slab construction techniques. The class will focus on building clean, functional forms while learning strategies for achieving a tight, well-fitting lid. Once construction is complete, the surface becomes an open canvas—students are encouraged to explore bold decoration and expressive surface design through carving, texture, and pattern.Students will leave class with their jars ready for drying and firing; finished pieces will be available for pickup approximately 3–4 weeks later.
