Ceramic Egg Cartons Clay Play
Celebrate spring in this festive Easter Day workshop where students will transform everyday egg cartons into charming ceramic keepsakes. Using large slabs of clay, we’ll press the slabs onto egg cartons to capture their familiar form, then flip them and refine the structure to create sturdy bases. Once the form is complete, the surface becomes a canvas for fun and creativity—students will adorn their cartons with playful Easter themes, textures, and bright underglaze colors. Once the form is complete, the surface becomes a canvas for fun and creativity—students will adorn their cartons with playful Easter themes, textures, and bright underglaze colors. These pieces function as both sculptural and useful objects, perfect for holding eggs while also serving as decorative spring centerpieces or thoughtful seasonal gifts.
Students will leave class with their pieces ready for drying and firing; finished egg cartons will be available for pickup approximately 3–4 weeks later.
