WASHINGTON’S EVERGREEN COAST – March 2026 brought widespread media attention to Washington’s Evergreen Coast, with national and regional coverage showcasing the destination’s outdoor recreation, scenic beauty, arts community, and iconic coastal traditions.
Leading the month’s coverage, Parade Magazine featured the region as a Pacific Northwest haven between Seattle and Portland, highlighting the Evergreen Coast’s towering pine forests, craft bakeries, ocean views, and laid-back coastal atmosphere. Additional national recognition came from Outside Magazine, which spotlighted Snow Peak Campfield for its innovative outdoor hospitality experience focused on community and nature connection.
Coastal recreation and camping also remained top-of-mind throughout March. Islands included the Evergreen Coast among the best West Coast beach camping destinations, reinforcing the region’s appeal for travelers seeking accessible outdoor adventures and scenic overnight stays. Road Trips for Families additionally highlighted the area through coverage tied to scenic travel experiences and road trip inspiration.
Outdoor recreation and razor clam season generated significant regional attention throughout the month. National Today announced updated Washington razor clam digging dates, while coverage from The Columbian, Centralia Chronicle, and Peninsula Daily News reported on multiple approved razor clam digs extending into spring. The Daily World also covered the strong turnout at the 18th Annual Razor Clam and Seafood Festival, emphasizing the Evergreen Coast’s enduring connection to coastal traditions and seafood culture.
The region’s parks, wildlife, and natural attractions also received notable recognition. The Seattle Times featured both the state’s least-visited and most-visited Washington state parks, including Evergreen Coast destinations that continue to attract outdoor enthusiasts year-round.
Arts and culture played a major role in March media coverage as well. KOIN-TV highlighted Sou’wester Arts Week, which brought dozens of artists and creatives to the Washington coast for workshops, exhibitions, and community gatherings. These stories reinforced the Evergreen Coast’s growing reputation as a destination where creativity and coastal culture intersect.
Local dining and overnight travel experiences also earned praise throughout the month. Cheapism recognized one of the state’s standout under-the-radar restaurants, while The Columbian featured Ilwaco as a worthy destination for both day trips and overnight stays, spotlighting the community’s charm, waterfront experiences, and local businesses.
From razor clam digs and beach camping to arts festivals and scenic road trips, March’s media coverage continued to position Washington’s Evergreen Coast as a destination defined by authentic experiences, natural beauty, and year-round adventure.
