More Information:
In this one-day workshop, students will create a versatile ceramic kitchen accessory designed to function as either a sponge holder or a spoon rest. Using slab-building techniques, participants will construct a form that is practical, durable, and tailored to their own kitchen needs.
The class will explore a variety of ways to personalize the piece through shape, texture, pattern, and decorative details. Whether you prefer a clean, modern aesthetic or something more playful and expressive, there will be plenty of room to make the design your own.
The second half of class will be dedicated to underglaze application, allowing students to add color and surface design that complements their finished forms.
Students will leave class with their pieces ready for drying and firing; finished sponge holders and spoon rests will be available for pickup approximately 3–4 weeks later.
