In this one-day workshop, students will create a functional ceramic berry bowl by draping a slab of clay over a bisque mold to establish a graceful, rounded form. Once the shape is complete, the bowl will be perforated to allow water to drain, making it perfect for rinsing and serving fresh berries, cherries, or other small fruits.
The class will explore ways to embellish and personalize each piece through texture, pattern, and thoughtful design details. In the second half of class, students will apply underglaze to add color and bring their surface designs to life.
Students will leave class with their berry bowls ready for drying and firing; finished pieces will be available for pickup approximately 3–4 weeks later.
