Join local potter David Campiche for this intermediate workshop focused on the art and challenge of making ceramic teapots. Drawing from years of experience, David will share his techniques, design philosophy, and personal approach to creating functional and expressive teapots. The class will explore the unique considerations involved in teapot design, including proportion, balance, pouring performance, lid fit, handle placement, and spout construction. Along the way, students will gain insight into David’s working methods, aesthetic influences, and problem-solving strategies for one of ceramics’ most rewarding forms. Through demonstrations, discussion, and hands-on making, participants will deepen their understanding of teapot construction while developing forms that reflect their own artistic voice.
