Architectural Vases Clay Play
In this hands-on workshop, students will work with firm slabs to construct vessels defined by sharp lines, clean corners, and a subtle nod to modern architecture. The class will focus on building crisp, intentional forms while exploring the contrast between sharp and jagged lines, strong geometric shapes, and emphasized line work. Attention will be given to precision, structure, and creating visual tension through angles and contour. In the second half of class, students will apply underglaze to highlight edges, accentuate line work, and add graphic surface detail.
