Molina Healthcare of Washington (“Molina”) is sponsoring Pack2School’s Back-to-School event in Ocean Park this August. The event will help South Pacific County families prepare for the new school year by providing backpacks and school supplies to local PK–12 students. Pack2School partners with local schools and community members to help ensure students receive the materials they need for their specific classrooms, and the organization expects to serve nearly 500 students this year. For many parents and guardians, the back-to-school season can be stressful. In Washington, parents spend an average of $1,045 per child on school supplies. By offering free services and supplies in one place, the Pack2School Carnival helps alleviate the burden while helping kids start the year healthy, ready to learn, and set up for success in the classroom. These events are part of Molina’s broader back-to-school initiative in Washington, delivered in partnership with local schools, clinics, and community organizations to provide free essential health services and school supplies to families across the state.
