In this one-day workshop, students will use slab construction techniques to build a passive ceramic cell phone amplifier. Designed to hold your phone securely, the flared, coned opening naturally projects and amplifies sound—no electricity required. The class will focus on clean construction, thoughtful form, and shaping the interior chamber to maximize sound projection. In the second half of class, students will apply underglaze to add color and personalize their amplifiers.
