Plant Saucers Clay Play
In this hands-on workshop, students will create two medium-sized plates using hump molds, then press locally gathered plants and flowers into the clay to capture delicate textures and create a lasting floral snapshot in each piece. The class will explore creative surface techniques including washes, decorative accents, and underglaze to expand opportunities for personalization and color.Participants are encouraged to bring a selection of local, thin-stemmed plants and flowers from their neighborhood to make each plate truly unique.Students will leave class with their plates ready for drying and firing; finished pieces will be available for pickup approximately 3–4 weeks later.
