In this one-day workshop, students will create a pair of ceramic shot glasses using a combination of slab-building and pinching techniques. Starting with simple forms, the class will explore a variety of ways to transform and personalize each piece through texture, pattern, and creative form manipulation. Demonstrations will cover techniques for altering silhouettes, adding surface interest, and introducing decorative details that make each shot glass feel unique. Whether sleek and refined or playful and expressive, students will have plenty of opportunities to develop their own style while creating a functional set. The second half of class will be dedicated to underglaze application, allowing participants to add color and further personalize their designs. Students will leave class with their shot glasses ready for drying and firing; finished pieces will be available for pickup approximately 3–4 weeks later.
