Slab-Built Mugs with Creative Surfaces w/Glenn Hendrick

In this one-day class, students will play with a variety of underglaze techniques on slabs, and create a one-of-a-kind slab constructed mug! Students will learn how to make their own underglaze transfers using newsprint, which can be applied to slabs along with stenciled underglaze designs, direct underglaze painting, mishima, and sgraffito. They will then use provided templates (or create their own) to cut and assemble a mug (or two) from their slabs.
