Formosa Bao

Homemade Taiwanese Bao.

Formosa Bao is a small, family-run shop in Long Beach, WA, on Washington’s Evergreen Coast, serving homemade Taiwanese-style baozi, the fluffy steamed buns filled with savory and sweet fillings.

What to Order.

Regulars recommend the BBQ pork bao, the Nutella bao, shrimp potstickers and vegetable dumplings, plus traditional Taiwanese beef soup and a vegan hot and sour soup. You can also take frozen bao and dumplings home.

Plan Your Visit.

Find Formosa Bao inside Tinker Towne Mall at 811 Pacific Avenue South in downtown Long Beach. Seating is limited, so takeout is popular. It’s closed Tuesdays; call 503-440-8096 for current hours.
