Washington’s Evergreen Coast Captures Media Attention in March 2025

From Razor Clam Festivals to Camping Changes, Pacific County Draws Regional and National Spotlight

– March 2025 continued the momentum of strong media exposure for Washington’s Evergreen Coast, as national and local outlets featured the region’s natural beauty, cultural landmarks, and beloved seasonal events.

Articles published this month spanned family travel, outdoor recreation, and tourism policy, reinforcing the Evergreen Coast’s appeal as a destination for both adventure and relaxation. Among the highlights, WorldAtlas included the area in its list of “8 Incredible Vacation Spots in Washington”, while the Jetsetter Guide featured a local stay among the “30 Best Dog-Friendly Hotels on the West Coast”.

With major changes coming to Washington State Parks, KCPO-TV/KZJO-TV, The Spokesman-Review, and Yahoo all reported on efforts to expand same-day reservations at campgrounds across the region, which could impact how visitors plan their outdoor getaways.

The Pacific Northwest’s springtime tradition of razor clam digging also drew attention. The Columbian reported that the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife approved nine days of digging, beginning March 26.

In cultural tourism, Daily Kos shared a photo-driven piece on the Northwest Carriage Museum, and Pacific NW Magazine offered a stunning visual story titled “A Cape Disappointment Scene is Even More Spectacular with a King Tide”. These features emphasized the blend of history, storytelling, and natural wonder that make the region unique.

Local publications including The Bellingham Herald, Tri-City Herald, and Tacoma News Tribune also shared updates on WDFW’s public input process on Olympic, Johns River, and Chehalis wildlife areas, illustrating the active role communities play in shaping recreation policy.

With continued media interest across topics and territories, Washington’s Evergreen Coast remains a favorite subject for travel writers, editors, and outdoor enthusiasts.
