WASHINGTON’S EVERGREEN COAST – April 2026 brought extensive national and regional media attention to Washington’s Evergreen Coast, with coverage highlighting the destination’s spring festivals, outdoor recreation, razor clam traditions, and unique coastal experiences.
The month began with strong earned media placements secured through strategic pitching efforts. Seattle Magazine featured Washington’s spring festivals and seasonal experiences, while 425 Magazine highlighted immersive outdoor adventures and the Evergreen Coast’s connection to Washington’s wilder side. Pride Journeys also included the destination in its 2026 LGBTQ Pride Guide, further expanding visibility among diverse travel audiences.
Outdoor recreation and coastal travel continued to drive major national exposure throughout April. Dwell Magazine spotlighted Snow Peak Campfield and its family-friendly outdoor lodging experience, while When In Your State featured the Long Beach Peninsula as one of Washington’s most unique beach destinations, noting its drivable shoreline and quirky attractions.
Razor clam season remained a major focus across regional and national media outlets. Yahoo and Yahoo Canada reported on updated shellfish harvesting regulations and extended spring razor clam dig dates, while Peninsula Daily News, and Oregon Coast Beach Connection covered ongoing coastal razor clam digs throughout the month. These stories reinforced the Evergreen Coast’s longstanding reputation as one of Washington’s premier destinations for clam digging and coastal recreation.
Spring events and community celebrations also earned significant attention. Yahoo Life and MyNorthwest.com highlighted Seattle-area weekend events that included Evergreen Coast experiences tied to Earth Day festivities, outdoor activities, and seasonal travel opportunities.
The region’s coastal wildlife and marine activity additionally generated widespread coverage during April.
